Ever since we have visited the US, my daughter has become a fan of these western breakfasts 😊. She keeps asking mainly for pancakes and waffles.  So Sundays will be either of these to keep her happy. Initially, I was under the impression that these will take a lot of time or will require fancy ingredients. But trust me it is made with easily available ingredients and it is instant. To keep it healthy I used whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour (maida). It is so yummy, so fluffy and so easy to make.

Whole Wheat Pancakes are basic homemade thick and fluffy cake made by combining mainly whole wheat flour, eggs, milk, and Baking Powder and then cooked on a frying pan.
Yields: 8 Pancakes

Ingredients:
1.5 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Baking Soda
Salt to taste
2 Tbsp Sugar
2 Eggs
1.25 Cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
3 Tbsp Butter [Melted  and Cooled]
Oil/Butter to grease the pan

Directions:
 1. In a mixing bowl, sieve all dry ingredients[whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt].
 2. Mix Sugar to dry ingredients.
 3. Add in all other ingredients and mix using a wire whisk to make a smooth batter. [Don't over mix]
 4. Keep the batter aside for 5 minutes.
 5. Meanwhile heat the non-stick skillet/Tawa. Let the Pan become hot.
 6. Grease the pan with butter/oil and pour the 1/4 cup of batter on the pan and spread a little to make a round shape.
 7. Cook on low to medium heat for 2-3 minutes. you can see bubbles and edges turn to a golden brown.
 8. Flip and cook on another side for 1-2 minutes.
 9. Repeat the same with all the batter.
 10.Serve warm pancakes topped with honey or syrup of your choice and fruits.

Notes:
1. You can use 50% all-purpose flour and 50 % whole wheat flour.
