This snack is made during many festivals.
We grown up eating this snack every now and then. My mom used to make this during festivals specially during 'Ganesha Festival'. Since this festival is next week my mom asked me yesterday that,what are u preparing for festival. This was pending from my todo list from long, so finally thought to make it for festival. Let Ganesha(God) bless everyone :).

Makes: 30 Number

Ingredients:
1 cup Rice Flour
1/2 cup Besan / Gram Flour
3 Tbsp Urad dal/ Black Gram
1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds
2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
1 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 Tbsp Hot Oil for dough
3/4 cup water to knead dough
Oil to deep fry
pinch of salt to taste

Method:
1.In a wide pan saute Urad dal till aroma comes and it turns slight brown.
2.In mixer grinder make powder of urad dal.
3.In a bowl mix all these dry ingredients(Rice flour,Besan,Urad dal powder,pinch of salt,Red Chilli,Powder,Turmeric,Sesame and cumin seeds).
4.Now heat 2 Tbsp oil and pour over it. and mix well.
5.Add water little by little to make a smooth dough( took 3/4 cup water for me).Dough will be like chapati dough.

6.keep it covered for 30 minutes.
7.Now Dip hand in water and take part of dough and put into chakli maker.(dipping in water is for smoother flowing of dough from chakli maker).
8.Make chaklis into desired shape and deep fry till golden brown from both sides.

Note:
1.Consistency of dough should be smooth for easy flow from chakli maker.
2.This gives crispy chaklis.If you want more softer ones, add 2 more tbsp hot oil while kneading dough.
3.This gives minimal spicy snack. you can vary amount of chilli powder according to ypur taste.
