As mentioned in my previous post, I got many mangoes from native.We ate a lot of ripened mangoes as it is. It is very yummy.I thought to make few desserts as well. We relished Mango Lassi , Eggless Mango Mousse , Mango Mousse Cake , Mango Shrikhand and so many Mango desserts.

Shirkhand is my all time favourite dessert.It is such an easy and yummy dessert.It can be made with just hung curd, sugar and cardamom powder.You can flavour and enjoy many flavours as well.I have already shared Butterscotch shrikhand . Mango Shrikhand or Amrakhand is creamy,velvety,rich delicious Indian Dessert made with fresh mango pulp and thick yogurt.

Serves: 4

Ingredients:
1 Cup Hung Curd / very Thick Yogurt
3/4 Cup Mango Pulp
1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
Pistachios/Almonds to garnish

Directions:
Lets make hung curd
2.5 cups of regular curd gives 1 cup(approx) of hung curd/Thick yogurt.

1.Take regular Curd in a muslin cloth and hang for 4 to 5 hours.
you will get a Thick curd(yogurt). Don't keep it for longer time. Curd will become sour.
If you want to keep it overnight then put the curd in muslin cloth in sieve and keep this on top of bowl to collect water and keep in refrigerator.

1.Take hung curd in a bowl.
2.Add sugar,Cardamom Powder and beat nicely with spatula or spoon till mixture becomes smooth in texture.
   Try not to use electric mixer/beater. Over beating spoils texture. If using electric hand mixer take care not to over beat.
3.Fold in Mango Pulp to above Hung Curd Mixture and Mix gently.
4.Garnish With Pistachios/Almonds.You can even pour some mango puree on top.
5.Serve Chilled with Poories or enjoy as it is..

Notes:
1.You can adjust sugar quantity according to your taste.
