It's been quiet a few days I am away from blogging. Lot many things happening at other side which keeps me busy these days.
My lil munchkin turned 6 months. I Can't believe how the time flies with her and its already a half year. I am just loving to be with my little one all the time.

But its time to go back to office..When I was preparing myself to go back to work, my daughter got cold n cough and she really suffered a lot. Its a pain to watch her struggling.It went on for few days, So it was time to be with her. Thankfully now she is fine and happily playing :).

At times you want is some soothing food which is simple to cook and you feel refreshed. Kadhi is one such soothing food for me. I Like to have it with plain rice and relax. This is simple kadhi with sauted Okra / Bhindi / Lady Finger. You can use this bhindi in variety of dishes. I have already posted Bhindi Coconut masala and Kurkuri Bhindi / Crispy Okra. Both are must try dishes.

Delicious Indian Yogurt Gram Flour Curry cooked with Okra / LadyFinger
Serves: 4

Ingredients:
15 Bhindi / Okra / Ladyfingers
2 Cup Sour Yogurt
1.5 Cup Water
3 Tbsp Gram Flour / Besan
1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
1 tsp Green Chilli paste
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1.5 Tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1/4 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
4 Dried Red Chillies
10-12 Curry Leaves
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves to garnish


Directions:
1.Wash the Okra/Bhindi and wipe them or allow them to dry.Discard both ends and cut remaining into medium pieces.Keep aside.
2.Heat 1 tsp Oil in kadai and add bhindis/okra and little salt and saute till bhindis gets cooked. Keep aside.

3.In a mixing bowl whisk together Yogurt,Gram Flour,Ginger-Garlic paste ,Green Chilli paste,Turmeric powder and little salt such that no
lumps are formed.
4.Add water to it and mix again so that everything is combined well.

5.Heat the Oil in kadai,When hot add Mustard seeds and Cumin Seeds and saute till seeds splutters.
6.Now add fenugreek seeds,Asafoetida,dried red chilies, curry leaves and saute for 20 seconds.
7.Add Bhindi / Okra (from step 2) and saute for 10 seconds.
8.Finally Add the Curd/Yogurt mixture (from step 4) and salt if required(note:we have already added to curd mixture and bhindis ) and cook on medium flame till the kadhi is thickened.
9.Garnish with Coriander leaves and Enjoy.
