It is used in many cookies,cakes,desserts and some other recipes.
It is easy to store and shelf life is long(around 6 months) compared to fresh coconut.
Lets learn today how to make it.
1.Take Shell out of fresh coconut and grate it.
2.Preheat oven at 220 degree c. I use Microwave with Convection Mode. I heated for 8 min.
3.Take baking sheet and loosely scatter the grated coconut. Dont overcrowd it(as shown in pic)
4.Bake it for 6 min. Keep a eye after 6 min. Bake till it turns slight brown.(took 8 min for me)
5.It should be dry in texture.
6.You can also do it in stove top.Saute it in non stick pan on sim till all mositure is gone and
it turns slight brown. Be very careful. It will burn easily if not taken care.
6.Now it can be powdered using food processor/mixer grinder.
7.Store it in airtight container in refrigerator/freezer.
